The Name
How Ave-Ba came to life

It did not begin in a meeting room. There was no mood board, no market research, no investor slide. It began with a sound — one of the smallest, most ordinary sounds in the world — a young child calling out to his elder brother.

Our younger son, Aveer, had a name for his brother. Not the name we gave him. His own name. Ba. No one taught him that. It arrived the way first words always do — from somewhere beyond instruction, from something felt before it could be spoken.

Every time he said it, the room changed. There was ease in it. There was trust. There was the particular warmth that only exists between people who belong to each other without needing to explain why.

That sound stayed with us. As we began to think about creating — about building something in the lifestyle and living space — we kept returning to it. We asked ourselves: why don't the things we bring into our homes feel this way?

From Aveer — A Gentle Arrival
Ave comes from Aveer — our son's name. It carries the Latin sense of arrival, of a gentle presence entering a space. A quiet hailing. An opening. The moment before something begins.
Ba
The Call — Unlearned. Human. Warm.
Ba is the call itself. Unlearned. Human. In ancient Egyptian, Ba is the soul — the animating essence. The thing that makes someone themselves. It is the part that travels, persists, and cannot be reduced.
